Reader's Digest App Reviews

Terrible App

Needs work! Lots of work.

Beautiful

Best reading experience Ive seen. The interactive parts make it better than the regular scroll-and-read or even paper version, but without loosing the tactile touch. It even feels like youre handling a tactile product, not just an app.

Pathetic

The UI is the worse of all..plus it does not show the tabs it actually asks the user to tap to! Need a lot to make it a 5 star

What? Pay and no access?..

I bought it and did not get access. No idea who to call.

Most frustrating. Worst ever.

Doesnt recognize pwd even after 3 changes and new pwd accepted. February Subscription had to be renewed in August. And app still wont let me in. No reply to letters to Apple and Readers Digest. Time to take to Twitter. This is the pits.

Now this is the way to read RD!

I really enjoy reading RD this way, and Im in my 60s. Ive read RD for years, then drifted away from them because they changed a lot. Well, they changed back so I gave them another try in the print version. Next, I got myself an iPad mini and saw that I could get a few free electronic copies because I was a current subscriber so I tried it and this is much better than the printed version. Well done RD, I like this.

Beyond entertaining

A must read after a hard day of work. :)

Login Issues - perpetual

I continually have trouble logging in and seeing the issues I have already paid for in my subscription. Requires phone calls to Apple Support. Readers Digest Support said they were unwilling to help because the subscription has been purchased through Apple Newsstand...disappointing.

Love the app!

I havent tried searching for specific articles. (I dont with the magazine either. I just read cover to cover. ). The font is easy to read and flipping to new articles is easy. The content is everything I already love in Readers Digest.

Cant get it loaded

Tried to get the app on my IPad and I keep getting error messages dont know what is going on but would like to be able to open it, subscribe to the magazine and read it. Cant log in now, I enter my email address and password it says cannot authenticate do I click on forgot password. I click on link in email to reset password and enter a password and it says new password accepted. So I go back to app and try to log in it says cannot authenticate. So I try registering a new account and it says email already registered. So how does someone get into their account???????????? Getting ready to take the app off my iPad and iPhone.

Been reading RD for more than 40 years

When it works its fine, but after two different emails 3 weeks apart for a non working app even though I already paid for a 1 year subscription there has yet to be a reply at all, save your money and read something else, if you do choose to purchase this app, buyer beware you will be on your own.

Logon stinks

Poorly written login and password change processes. Get with it RD and hire someone to revamp this...

Wonderful app

I like very much how it is redesigned. Easy to use and well organized.

Fix the bugs first.

Dear Readers Digest, I have been a fan of RD for 50 years. This is a first class magazine that has a bug filled app. If your print copy was out of alignment or misprinted wouldnt you fix the error at the printing press? Dump your I.T. person and start providing first class service on your App just like you would do for your print copy. I also noticed that on your sample page that I am not able to read your magazine in a horizontal position. I would not consider a purchase if these issues are not addressed.

I cant get Voice Over to Read

I need to use voice over to help me read, but I cant get it to work well with the Readers Digest app.

Wanted to hate it but LOVED IT!

I have read RD since I was a kid (45yrs) Did not want to lose my old friend magazine to digital when I signed up for the trial app for my iPad mini. Ended up loving it! All the extras and vivid pics were worth it. Would like it to allow for bigger print.

Still a good app but . . .

Still a good app but . . . liked previous versions when I was able to increase the size of print by expanding my fingers as needed.

Very good

One of the best apps. Good way to read at your own pace, one article at a time. Thank you!

cant get logged

I do computer support, I know how to use web sites and apps, this one is terrible, cant even get logged in. Why do I need to keep typing a long acct number??? why is the acct setup different for paper subscription user?
